What Gives Me Hope?
I don’t usually promote other websites on this blog other than listing links for the side bar. This will be the first time. But I figured, I will be remiss on my duty as a human being not to post this, good stuff. REALLY good stuff.
In this tempestuous world, there are a few things that gives us hope — our family, friends and loved ones. Here is a website that lets people post their own personal stories of friends, loved ones and even total strangers who GIVE THEM HOPE. Good goosebumps according to a Facebook friend who posted this on her wall.
Here are samples stories from the website:
1. My little sister came home from school one day and demanded I take her to the library so she could get books on sign language.
I asked why? She told me there was a new kid at school who was deaf and she wanted to befriend him.
Today, I stood beside her at their wedding watching her sign… “I DO”.
2. A woman’s fiance of six years told her to “Get an abortion or get out.”
She moved out that night, with nothing to her name, and no idea where to go.
I’m graduating high school with a full ride scholarship, and that woman is truly my best friend.
We did it, Mom. You and me. We’ve never needed him.
3. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
I told my husband I would understand if he wanted to leave, he didn’t sign up for a mentally ill wife, and I have made his life hell for the past three years.
He just smiled and said, “In sickness and in health covers crazy, too.”
